A Process Servers take on the 4th of July

As we reflect on the fireworks, backyard barbecues, and the founding of our nation this Fourth of July, we are officially staring down a remarkable milestone: the 250th year of this great, chaotic, beautiful experiment in self-governance.

Two and a half centuries is a long time for a republic to keep the lights on. And while we tend to celebrate the grand concepts—liberty, freedom, independence—the experiment only keeps working if we keep our legal institutions rock-solid and stable.

Which brings us to the ultimate, unsung guardian of American freedom: Due Process.

When the Founders drafted the framework for this nation, they knew that rights don't mean much if they can just be stripped away without a fair shake. And how does that grand constitutional promise actually manifest in day-to-day reality?

With proper service of process.

You can’t have your day in court if you don’t even know you’re supposed to show up. Every summons, subpoena, or legal notice delivered isn’t just paperwork—it’s a tiny, paper-bound echo of the Bill of Rights ensuring that our institutional gears keep turning fairly, transparently, and by the book.

So, while you’re enjoying the holiday, here’s to 250 years of liberty, justice, and making sure the paperwork actually gets served properly. Because a great experiment needs strong institutions to survive—and strong institutions require proper legal notice.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and fully compliant Fourth of July!

Because rights are just paper without proper notice.
